The Virtual Waiting Room

What is a virtual waiting room you ask? It's a fun place to hang out. Two of my online friends went into labor Wednesday. One is in Texas (I think) and the other in California. We are all part of the same Mommy board. And if you're reading this, you're probably a member too! There were women from all over the US, Canada and Australia in this waiting room.

We had a good time. We hung out, played some cards, read old magazines, and got little work accomplished in my case. A third suggested all the running to the computer could put her into labor. I don't think I could have handled that much stress in one day. There were complaints about the cappuccino machine being broken, the Coke machine eating dollar bills. We still don't know who took the last Bugles from the vending machine. The bathrooms were too far away.

We had some good times. And some good results. One gave birth to a little girl. She doesn't have a name yet. Maybe tomorrow she'll have one. We just call her Daisy. The other one almost drove me nuts!! First, she didn't find out if it was a boy or a girl. Then she had the baby, and wouldn't tell us. We waited 9 months to find out, and those last 12 hours were the worst. It was a boy. He does have a name, a pretty cool one. Wanna find out? Go visit our Virtual Waiting Room.
